Using MealAlchemist during the private beta.

MealAlchemist is run by a small team. These terms are written for the private beta with 25 families, in plain English, so there are no surprises on either side.

⚠️ Read this first — the chef is not a medical or allergy authority

MealAlchemist is a meal-planning tool. The recipes and ingredient suggestions the chef generates are produced by an AI from the information you give it. They are not a substitute for medical, dietary, or allergy advice.

  • The chef can misread your dietary needs, miss allergens, or generate recipes that contain ingredients you have told it you cannot eat.
  • Always check the ingredient list of every recipe against the actual labels of every product you use, especially for anyone in your household with a food allergy, intolerance, or medical dietary restriction.
  • If you or someone in your household has a serious allergy (e.g. peanut, tree nut, shellfish, gluten, dairy, egg), treat the chef's suggestions as a starting point only and verify every ingredient before cooking or serving.
  • MealAlchemist and its operators are not liable for allergic reactions, dietary harms, or health outcomes arising from following a generated recipe.

Beta status

MealAlchemist is a private beta. We may pause, restrict, reset, or change the service on short notice while we learn what works. Features documented on the marketing pages may not be fully deployed yet — the live product is the source of truth, and we will tell you in-app when something important changes.

You may be let in, paused, or removed from the beta at our discretion if usage is harming other families or the service.

No uptime guarantee

We do not guarantee that MealAlchemist will be available, accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free. The service runs on Cloudflare's edge stack, which has its own occasional outages. We aim for high availability and will email you when an outage lasts long enough to matter, but you should always have a backup plan for the day's meals.

Acceptable use

When using MealAlchemist, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your household's dietary needs and allergies. The chef can only avoid what you have told it to avoid.
  • Use the service for your own household. No scraping, automated access, resale, or redistribution of generated recipes or shopping lists.
  • Don't try to break or misuse the service, prompt the chef to produce harmful or illegal content, or upload images you do not have the right to upload.
  • Don't use MealAlchemist for any medical, clinical, or life-critical decision-making.
  • Be kind. If you find a bug or have a complaint, email support@mealalchemist.com.

Your data

We store what is described in our Privacy policy. We do not sell your data. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing privacy@mealalchemist.com.

Recipe and content ownership

Recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists the chef generates for your household are yours to cook, share, and use as you wish. We retain the right to use aggregated, anonymised insights (e.g. "on average, families in the beta plan 3 dinners per week") to improve the service.

The MealAlchemist name, brand, and marketing copy are ours. Please don't redistribute them under your own name.

Payment, refunds, and cancellations

Subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We offer a 90-day money-back guarantee from the date of your first charge — if you are not saving time or money inside the first three months, email support@mealalchemist.com and we will refund you in full, no questions asked. You can cancel your subscription at any time from /settings.

No warranties; limit of liability

The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied) regarding the service, generated recipes, and shopping lists. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms during the beta. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use MealAlchemist after that date means you accept the updated terms.
