The 5:30 pm problem
It's not the cooking. It's the deciding.
Every night someone has to decide what everyone will eat, check what's in the fridge, keep it cheap, and get it past the pickiest person at the table.
Decision fatigue
Seven dinners a week, every week. Planning them is a job nobody signed up for.
The picky-eater standoff
You cook one dinner and end up making a second plate of plain pasta anyway.
The budget creep
No plan means extra store runs, takeout “just this once,” and food going to waste in the fridge.
How it works
Three steps. Then dinner just shows up.
MealAlchemist is an AI meal-planning companion that lives in your inbox and learns what your family actually eats.
Tell us about your family
Who's eating, what the picky eaters will and won't touch, any allergies or diets (like keto), your budget and how much time you have on weeknights.
Get your weekly email
Every week: 5 dinners, 30 minutes or less on busy nights, plus one grocery list grouped by aisle. Print it, forward it, or shop straight from your phone.
Swap what doesn't fit
Not feeling Tuesday? Swap it. The grocery list updates, and the plan learns from every swap.
Made for picky kids
One dinner. Everybody eats.
We don't pretend your kid is going to love shakshuka. Every recipe is built so the pickiest person at the table has a way in, without you cooking twice.
Deconstructed versions
Same dinner served in separate piles so nothing touches. Kids pick, dip, and taste on their own terms.
“Set aside a plain portion” cues
The recipe tells you exactly when to scoop out a kid portion, before the sauce or spice goes in.
Sneaky swaps
Low-drama ways to add veggies, like blended sauces, build-your-own bars and fun shapes, with no battle at the table.
A plan that learns
Tell us what got eaten and what didn't. Your family's “safe foods” and new wins shape next week's plan.

FAQ
Questions parents ask
Mealime is closing. What happens to my dinners?+
Mealime shuts down on 21 Oct 2026. MealAlchemist isn't a copy of Mealime and can't import your Mealime data, but it covers the same job: a weekly dinner plan for your family and a grocery list to match. Grab the free guide to have 10 easy dinners ready while you decide.
Do I really not need an app?+
With Autopilot, no. Your dinners, recipes and grocery list come by email and open in any browser. If you want more control, the full MealAlchemist planner runs in your browser too, with nothing to download.
How does it handle picky eaters?+
You tell us what each picky eater will and won't eat. Every recipe includes a picky kid tip (a deconstructed version, a plain portion to set aside, or a sneaky swap), and the plan learns from your swaps and feedback over time.
Can it handle allergies or diets like keto?+
Yes. Add allergies, foods to avoid and diets like keto, and we plan around them. For serious allergies, always double-check ingredient labels. Brands and recipes vary, and we can't guarantee products are free from cross-contact.
How much will groceries cost?+
You set a weekly budget, and recipes show an estimated cost per serving. The free guide's dinners come in around $2 to $3 per serving at typical US supermarket prices. Real prices vary by store and region.
When can I start, and what will it cost?+
Both plans are coming soon and we're opening spots in small batches. Get the free guide and you're on the waitlist, so you'll hear first when a spot opens. We'll share pricing clearly before you're ever asked to pay, and every paid plan is covered by our 90-day money-back guarantee.
Who's behind MealAlchemist?+
I'm Daniel, a parent and solopreneur. I built MealAlchemist because I was tired of the nightly “what's for dinner?” scramble. Replies to our emails come straight to me.
